Below is a list of upcoming activities for Benton Park West area residents.

Kinloch Telephone Exchange Open House

Thursday, November 12 from 5:00-9:00 pm, Kinloch Telephone Exchange, 2201 Indiana

A rare opportuity to check out the inside of the former Kinloch Telephone Exchange. Built in 1904, the building is one of four telephone exchanges constructed by the Kinloch Telephone Company at the turn of the 20th century. Learn more about the building and it's history at kinlochstl.com. Food from Milque Toast Bar and drinks from Saint Louis Hop Shop.

SLACO Regional Neighborhood Conference

Saturday, November 14 from 8:30am-4:30 pm, Harris-Stowe State University

At the 20th annual conference, "The Power of Neighborhoods," you can learn new ways to make St. Louis area neighborhoods the best they can be. Keynote speaker Rev. Starsky Wilson will set the pace for an upbeat and challenging day of learning about topics as diverse as improving neighborhood association effectiveness, improving government responsiveness to residents, Ferguson lessons learned, community development corporations, new reports relevant to neighborhood revitalization, and taking action on vacant land and buildings, education, and youth. Zumba Classes

Monday, November 16 at 6:00 pm and Thursday, November 19 at 1:30-2:30 pm, Curby Memorial Presbyterian Church, 2621 Utah

Curby Church will host Zumba classes on Mondays from 6-7 pm and Thursdays from 1:30-2:30 pm. The suggested donation for the instructor is $1-5.00 a session. For more info 314-771-0242.

St. Louis Safety Group Meeting

Monday, November 16 at 6:00 pm, Carpenter Branch Library, 3309 S. Grand The St. Louis Safety Group hosts a monthly meeting and offers support, networking, continuing education and positive approaches for dealing with public safety issues and other challenges facing neighborhoods in the City of St. Louis. Meetings are open to all concerned citizens and neighborhood leaders looking for solutions! The November Meeting will be all about the Juvenile Justice System in St. Louis City. Meeting participants will be allowed to park on the St. Pius Church Lot across the street from the library.

Benton Park West Neighborhood Association Meeting

Thursday, November 19 at 7:00 pm, Five Star Senior Center, 2832 Arsenal

The November neighborhood meeting will be our 4th annual potluck! We'll supply Hodak's chicken, beverages, plates and utensils. You bring a salad, side dish, or dessert. For the 2nd year, we will hold a silent auction to raise funds for the Neighborhood Association. Visit our Events page for more details.
