Below is a list of upcoming activities for Benton Park West area residents.

 

Thanksgiving Day Parade

Thursday, November 26 at 8:45 am, Market Street between 7th and 20th 

Celebrating its 31st year, the 2015 Ameren Missouri Thanksgiving Day Parade will be broadcast live on KMOV-TV Channel 4. Theere will be +130 parade units, including musical floats and displays, giant helium balloon figures, animal units, restored antique cars and firetrucks, and marching bands from around the St. Louis region. As always, Santa Claus will be present to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving and Merry Christmas at the end of the parade. For more information, please visit www.christmasinstlouis.org/thanksgiving-day-parade/

 

Anheuser-Busch Brewery Lights

Thursday-Sunday until January 3 rom 5:00-10:00 pm, AB Brewery, 1200 Lynch 

Come experience the wonder of the Budweiser Clydesdales, s’mores roasting on an open fire, thousands of twinkling lights and one monumental display of holiday spirit. Zumba Classes

Thursdays at 1:30-2:30 pm and Mondays at 6:00-7:00 pm, Curby Memorial Presbyterian Church, 2621 Utah

Curby Church will host Zumba classes on Thursdays from 1:30-2:30 pm with a suggested donation of $5 and on Mondays from 6-7 pm with a suggested donation of $1-5.00 a session. For more info 314-771-0242. 

 

Shop Cherokee on Small Business Saturday

Saturday, November 28 from 11:00-6:00 pm, Various locations on Cherokee

Small Business Saturday celebrates the independent and unique stores in your neighborhood and serves as an alternative to the frenzy of big box stores on black Friday. Shop on Cherokee Street the Saturday after Thanksgiving and enjoy specials, local shops, discounts and more. Facebook Invite

 

Official Launch Party/Shopstravaganza, STL-STyLe-style!

Print Bazaar on Cherokee

Saturday, December 5, 10:00- 6:00 pm, Various locations on Cherokee

Print Bazaar on Cherokee provides holiday shoppers with creative ways to complete their shopping lists, supporting both handmade artists and the local economy. Some of the unique activities planned at shops and galleries along Cherokee Street include tours, demonstrations, and custom items printed on the spot. This year’s commemorative, hand-printed passports will provide a map of all venues and information on participating artists. Cookie Spree Saturday

Westminster Press Grand Opening

Saturday, December 5 from 6:00-10:00 pm, 3156 Cherokee

Westminster Press will host its grand opening celebration and art show. Come join us for a night of art, shopping, music, and free food and drink.
