We spent the next four days in STL exploring the city, and now going there feels like second nature. Love Seoul Taco, love hanging on Cherokee, and I think we’ve been to City Museum 2-3 times each by now.
At a new family-run eatery on Cherokee Street, visitors will find Asian cuisine presented with a Mexican spin in a casual setting. Kalbi Taco Shack had its grand opening on June 18, serving up tacos, burritos, quesadillas, rice bowls, banh mi, Vietnamese coffee and bubble tea.
Weaver sold his shares in the food festival to a partner — and immediately co-founded 2720 Cherokee, the warehouse-sized music venue and gallery space that anchors the increasingly influential art and music scene on Cherokee Street.
At the bottom of the menu at Propaganda, owner Tatyana Telnikova inserts an important footnote: “Let it be declared from here on out: Any and all consumption of alcohol must be accompanied by reason, meaning, thought and friendship in the form of a meaningful toast. Honor the party and your comrades with every drink.”
