Benton Park West Neighborhood Association Meeting

Thursday, January 19 at 7 pm, Five Star Senior Center, 2832 Arsenal

Please join us to hear the neighborhood news and have a chance in interact with your neighbors, 3rd District police, aldermen and NSO. We will review upcoming events and activities. Missouri Democratic Party January Meeting

Thursday, January 19 from 7:00-8:30 pm, Gooseberries, 2754 Chippewa

Coming up fast are the municipal primary election on March 7 and the municipal general election on April 4. Candidate filing for mayor and other offices ends January 6. To discuss this and more, the 20th Ward Democrats will meet. Bring neighbors and family members. Facebook Invite

Off Modern Opening Reception

Friday, January 20 from 7:00-10:00 pm, The Luminary, 2701 Cherokee

Join us for the opening of our season with Off Modern: In What Time Do We Live?, the first in a series of interconnected exhibitions opening over the next six months. The exhibition, arising out of a dual reading of Svetlana Boym's "off modern manifesto" and Jacques Ranciere's lecture "In What Time Do We Live?", acts as an atlas pinning together disparate images to make small marks of historical change and cultural recurrence comprehensible. Winter Warm-Up

Saturday, January 21 from 11:00 am - 3:00 pm, Byrd & Barrel, 3422 S. Jefferson

Macs local Buys and Byrd & Barrel are teaming up to warm up StL. Macs Local Buys will be donating dry aged ground beef that we will make chili out of. Chili is free for people in need and general public can pay what you please. All money will be donated to Gardian Angel Food Pantry. We also ask that from today until the 21st you drop off winter coats and warm clothing at Byrd & Barrel. Come out and help keep our community warm. Facebook Invite

Arch Rival Roller Derby Trivia Night

Saturday, January 21 at 7:00 pm, German Cultural Society, 3652 S. Jefferson

Doors open at 6 PM, Trivia begins at 7 PM. Advance Ticket Sale; Table of 10: $200/table ($20/person. Includes all you can drink beer, wine, and soda). Individual tickets for $20 will be sold day-of at door. Fun night includes: Trivia, Silent Auction, Games, and 50/50. Facebook Invite

Gravois Park Trash Pickup and Social Hour

Sundays from 9:30-10:30 am, Gravois Park, 3200 Potomac

Each Sunday, get to know your neighbors and help make YOUR neighborhood park a better place to play! We'll pick up litter in and around the park while talking and getting to know each other.

Zumba Classes

Mondays, Curby Memorial Presbyterian Church, 2621 Utah

Curby Church will host Zumba classes on Mondays at 6:00 pm for $3-5.00 a session. For more info 314-771-0242.

Marine Villa Neighborhood Association Meeting

Monday, January 23 7:00-10:00 pm, Irish Corner Pub, 1900 Cherokee

Join us for our first Marine Villa Neighborhood Association general meeting of the year. We will elect our 2017 board members. Stephen Jehle and James McKee have been nominated for President, all other board positions are uncontested. Although, the position of secretary will be vacant and we hope to fill that position soon. Coro Fellows Fundraiser Kickoff Happy Hour

Stop by Cherokee Street after work and warm up with conversation and drinks at STL-Style for this casual happy hour! You'll support the 2016-2017 St. Louis Coro Fellows as they kick off fundraising efforts for their National Affairs Week learning experience in Washington, DC.Enjoy generously donated beverages from regional brewers and support a dynamic local business by picking up some St. Louis gear while you're at it.
