Cherokee Station Business Association Meeting

Thursday, February 16 at 5:30 pm, Nebula, 3407 S. Jefferson

Cherokee Station Business Association Meetings are held on the 3rd Thursday of each month at 5:30pm. All business owners, residents, property owners, and anyone with an interest in Cherokee are welcome and encouraged to attend.

Benton Park West Neighborhood Association Meeting

Thursday, February 16 at 7:00 pm, Five Star Senior Center, 2832 Arsenal

Please join us to hear the neighborhood news and have a chance in interact with your neighbors, 3rd District police, aldermen and NSO. We will review upcoming events and activities. Curby Church's Family Movie Night

Friday, February 17 at 7:00 pm, Curby Memorial Presbyterian Church, 2621 Utah

Curby hosts a FREE Family Movie Night, of inspirational and encouraging movies, every 3rd Friday @ 7:00 pm with FREE popcorn, snacks and water. For more info 314-771-0242.

February WES Work Day

Saturday, February 18 from 12:00-4:00 pm, St. Louis Workers' Education Society, 2929 S. Jefferson

Join the St. Louis Workers’ Education Society as we continue rehabbing our historic building. We will put the finishing touches on our community-labor library and conference room, and start some new projects.This is a great way to learn skills from talented professionals – union painters and carpenters – while continuing to make WES your political home. Plarn Party with a Purpose

This party with a purpose will help us to help our homeless neighbors to sleep on a dry mat as well as give us all an opportunity to do a little community outreach to help people in need and it's also a great way to embrace upcycling plastic bags to keep the landfills from growing. Goodbye Cherokee Street, Oh So Vibrant is moving

Saturday, February 18 from 3:00-7:00 pm, Oh So Vibrant, 2308 1/2 Cherokee

We're leaving our cute little shop on Cherokee Street so we're throwing one last shindig there. Join us next Saturday the 18th for some photo booth shenanagins (we got a new photo booth we'd love to show you), EARTHBOUND BEER (we're getting a keg), and a SALE (we've got some of our awesome t-shirts a mini fridge and microwave plus some other random stuff, maybe some old computers if we clean em up in time). Gravois Park Trash Pickup and Social Hour

Sundays from 9:30-10:30 am, Gravois Park, 3200 Potomac

Each Sunday, get to know your neighbors and help make YOUR neighborhood park a better place to play! We'll pick up litter in and around the park while talking and getting to know each other.

Violence, Peace, and Legitimacy in Resistance Building

Sunday, February 19 from 3:00-5:00 pm, 2720 Cherokee

We're a small group of organizers who have worked on environmental, indigenous resistance, LGBTQ liberation, racial justice, and other social issues over the years. In the wake of this new wave of resistance brought on by the 2016 election, we are again seeing some very familiar arguments regarding peace and violence play out. Facebook Invite

Zumba Classes

9th Ward Assembly Meeting

Thursday, February 23 from 6:30-9:00 pm, RKDE, 2720 Cherokee

Please join us for the 9th Ward Aldermanic Forum, and the third 9th Ward Assembly. Participating in the forum are Democratic Party 9th Ward Alderperson candidates Ken Ortmann Alderman 9th Ward and Dan Guenther for 9th Ward Alderman. Guests may submit written questions to the candidates to be read by the forum moderator, Michael Allen. To conclude the Assembly, we will conduct a vote amongst 9th Ward residents on which candidate for 9th Ward Alderperson and Mayor of St. Louis shall be endorsed by "9th Ward StL." Facebook Invite

Soulard Mardi Gras - Beverage Booth Volunteers (Fundraiser)

Saturday, February 25 from 6:30 am - 9:00 pm, Ballpark Village area

Benton Park West, Marine Villa and Gravois Park Neighborhood Associations will host a beverage booth, location will be near the ballpark with heavy crowds from Ballpark Village all day. Our booth is run 100% by VOLUNTEERS! Our shifts are 2-3 hours, and consist of taking orders, pouring hurricanes or pouring beer. We provide burgers, hot dogs, soda, beer, snacks and a private porta-potty for our volunteers. To volunteer for the fundraising booth, please complete the SignUpGenius form here.
