9th Ward Assembly Meeting

Thursday, February 23 from 6:30-9:00 pm, RKDE, 2720 Cherokee

Please join us for the 9th Ward Aldermanic Forum, and the third 9th Ward Assembly. Participating in the forum are Democratic Party 9th Ward Alderperson candidates Ken Ortmann Alderman 9th Ward and Dan Guenther for 9th Ward Alderman. Guests may submit written questions to the candidates to be read by the forum moderator, Michael Allen. To conclude the Assembly, we will conduct a vote amongst 9th Ward residents on which candidate for 9th Ward Alderperson and Mayor of St. Louis shall be endorsed by "9th Ward StL." Facebook Invite

Soulard Mardi Gras - Beverage Booth Volunteers (Fundraiser)

Saturday, February 25 from 6:30 am - 6:00 pm, 7th & Cerre (across from Paddy O's)

Benton Park West, Marine Villa and Gravois Park Neighborhood Associations will host a beverage booth. Our booth is run 100% by VOLUNTEERS!. To volunteer for the fundraising booth, please complete the SignUpGenius form here. Support us by stopping by our booth and purchasing beverages!

Black Vote Brunch

Saturday, February 25 from 12:00-3:00 pm, Blank Space, 2847 Cherokee

Building black political power, our way, for our communities. We will have some elected officials and community leaders there to talk about different issues on the ballot. Facebook Invite

Gravois Park Trash Pickup and Social Hour

Sundays from 9:30-10:30 am, Gravois Park, 3200 Potomac

Each Sunday, get to know your neighbors and help make YOUR neighborhood park a better place to play! We'll pick up litter in and around the park while talking and getting to know each other.

Free Art! Dabble! Action!

Sunday, February 26 from 10:00 am - 4:00 pm, Kismet Creative Center, 3409 Iowa

We are teaching some classes and donating the money to organizations like the ACLU (among others) which support human, civil, women's, and LGBTQIA rights. We'll have art supplies there all day to create with us, as well as donation jars - so if you can't make it in time for class, consider swinging by for a piece of free art and to drop a few dollars in to the donation tin. International Women's Day Mass Planning Meeting

Sunday, February 26 from 2:00-4:00 pm, Blank Space, 2847 Cherokee

Zumba Classes

Marine Villa Neighborhood Meeting

Monday, February 27 from 7:00-8:00 pm, Irish Corner Pub, 1900 Cherokee

Due to a tied election for President at our last meeting a re-vote will be held to elect the 2017 President. Candidates for this position are President Stephen Jehle and Past President James Prosise-McKee. Because of this strange occurrence and the fact that two board members are candidates, we reached out to SLAYCO for the following procedure to move forward with a re-vote: All Members in good standing, who reside in Marine Villa, that attended the January meeting are eligible to vote. Mayoral Town Hall on Arts and Culture

Monday, February 27 from 7:00-9:00 pm, The Luminary, 2701 Cherokee

The mayoral candidates for the City of St. Louis will gather for a town hall style event focused on topics that matter to the arts and culture community in St. Louis.
