WES Vegan Potluck

Saturday, April 29 from 7:00-10:00 pm, St. Louis Workers' Education Society, 2929 S. Jefferson

Back by popular demand! The 2016 WES Vegan Potlucks were a smash hit. Community members broke bread, shared values, got to know one another, and heard from WES and other community leaders about their work. Since so many people wanted more potlucks, we are bringing back the event for 2017. Special guests TBA! This event is free, all ages, LGBTQIA+ and Disabilities welcoming, and DRUG AND ALCOHOL FREE. Gravois Park Trash Pickup and Social Hour

Sundays from 9:30-10:30 am, Gravois Park, 3200 Potomac

Each Sunday, get to know your neighbors and help make YOUR neighborhood park a better place to play! We'll pick up litter in and around the park while talking and getting to know each other.

Community Clothing Swap

Sunday, April 30 from 1:00-3:00 pm, Perennial, 3762 S. Jefferson

Each clothing swap is set-up like a department store (all shirts in one spot, all pants in another, etc.). You bring clothes you no longer want (but are still in fine shape) and take home new-to-you items from the swap. All proceeds benefit Perennial's educational programs.A BIG thank you to Dogtown Pizza for donating their delicious cookies for the event! Enjoy a sweet snack while you shop. Collage Party: TRASH hosted by The Moon Zine

Sunday, April 30 from 3:00-7:00 pm, South City Art Supply

Join The Moon Zine in collaging our TRASH issue at South City Art Supply! There will be magazines, glue sticks, crayons, and Stags, but please BYO Scissors. The Moon Zine is a St. Louis-based zine that started in 2015. Issues are free, monthly, and usually themed. Along with submitted content, the Moon Zine welcomes the community to collage the blank pages of each issue, making every zine one-of-a-kind. Zumba Classes

Mondays, Curby Memorial Presbyterian Church, 2621 Utah

Cats N' Mats: Yoga with Ami Amore

Wednesday, May 3 from 6:00-7:00 pm, Tenth Life, 3202 Cherokee

Up to 15 cats and kittens reside at Tenth Life's home-like storefront while they await their forever homes. Curious cats and kittens make for a fun yoga experience. A fundraiser like this one not only introduces more people to the work of Tenth Life while directly supporting it, it helps to socialize the cats who live there, as well. Gravois-Jefferson Historic Neighborhoods Plan - Public Meeting

Wednesday, May 3 from 6:30-8:00 pm, Dunn Marquette Rec Center, 4025 Minnesota

Are you a resident, business owner, or local stakeholder in the Benton Park West, Gravois Park or northeast Dutchtown neighborhoods? Join us for an open conversation and planning session for the Gravois-Jefferson Historic Neighborhoods Plan. Talk with your neighbors about neighborhood-level topics like business development, street corridors, environmental issues, and more!This is the third and final topic for Gravois-Jefferson public working meetings. Art is the Only Way to Run Away Without Leaving Home

Thursday, May 4 from 5:00-7:00 pm, South Broadway Art Project, 3816 S. Broadway

TAP Teen Apprentices are having a show of their NEW work in the SBAP Gallery showcasing Ceramic Sculpture and Pottery. Teens are also hosting an Empty Bowls Fundraiser to raise money for homeless Syrian Refugees, and will be accepting donations for beautiful hand-made bowls and cups filled with delicious food and drinks! Cherokee Street Cinco de Mayo Festival

Saturday, May 6 from 11:00am - 10:00 pm, Cherokee between Nebraska and Jefferson

An annual tradition, with a long history, Cinco De Mayo: A Cherokee Street Festival has evolved into a celebration of community and one of the largest and most diverse festivals in the St. Louis area. The festival will pack Cherokee Street with people enjoying authentic food, drinks, music, entertainment. We strive to support as many artists as possible through this event, focusing on diverse talent that reflects the attendees and multicultural backgrounds of the artists and residents that are a part of this community.
