Pool Party and Yappy Hour

Thursday, July 6 from 6:00-8:00 pm, BPW Dog Park, 3300 Nebraska

Nebula's Free First Friday

Friday, July 7 from 10:00 am-4:00 pm, Nebula, 3407 S. Jefferson

Take a break from home or the coffee shop & drop-in to work with us in the Big Room or our new work space, The Attic. With modern furnishings, a variety of work spaces, lots of natural light, exposed brick, and a clear view of the arch, the Attic is the perfect place to get things done. The Big Room has private work stations, a conference table, & pool table - a great spot for an afternoon meeting!We’ll have bagels from Gooseberries and Kaldi's Coffee Roasting Co. coffee while they last.Free and open to the public! “i’ll nest here for now” is a joyously whimsical, immersive celebration of nursing purpose from the casually discarded. We're very excited to host our first-ever art installation in July. Local artist and Lindenwood University art instructor CHRISTINA GREGOR will transform our atrium gallery space with a brand-new, site-specific, multimedia artwork. Grab your camera and someone to shoot (or meet a few at the event) to get photos to expand your portfolio. Connect and learn tips from other photographers that will help improve your craft. Bring your own equipment / props. Black backdrop provided. Not a photograher? You are invited to come to get your photo taken by area photograhers for headshots, family photos, engagment pic, or just for fun! An Evening of Acoustic Punk & Hardcore Covers to Benefit The Spot

"Supporting Positive Opportunities for Teens" The Spot offers free medical and social services to people ages 13-24. This includes anything from getting back in school or starting contraception, to addressing a mental illness or seeking care for HIV. Gravois Park Trash Pickup and Social Hour

Sundays from 9:30-10:30 am, Gravois Park, 3200 Potomac

Each Sunday, get to know your neighbors and help make YOUR neighborhood park a better place to play! We'll pick up litter in and around the park while talking and getting to know each other.

Benton Park West NA Board Meeting

Monday, July 10 at 6:30 pm, Five Star Senior Center, 2832 Arsenal

Please join us to hear the details of all committee activities and have input to board decisions concerning your neighborhood. Often perspective business owners will present their plans to us and seek a letter of support. You have the opportunity to ask questions, voice your opinion, and vote for or against a letter of support. All residents, business men and women, developers, landlords and other friends are welcome.

Gravois Park Neighborhood Meeting

Nimble Arts: Intro to Teaching Aerials

Thursday, July 13 - Monday, July 17 from 9:00 am - 4 :00 pm, Bumbershoot Aerial Arts, 2200 Gravois

This 34-hour introduction to teaching skill progressions for beginning tricks on trapeze and aerial fabric also includes segments on learning styles, spotting techniques, injury prevention, basic rigging concepts, equipment maintenance, and class management skills. Open to anyone age 16+ who is interested in learning to teach children and adults at summer camps, schools, gymnastics programs, or circus schools. Pitfalls of Payday Lending & Other Predatory Companies

This class will discuss the actual cost of payday lending and the effects it has on the consumer, and discuss the predatory lending laws and current events. The class will focus on the different types of predatory lenders and how they actually work. Lastly, it will provide the participants with alternatives to predatory lending and companies.
