BPW Dog Park Yappy Hour and Pool Party

3rd Annual Shrimp Boil

They say 3rd time's a charm....well we're extremely excited to announce Saint Louis Hop Shop's 3rd Annual Shrimp Boil @ Byrd & Barrel featuring beers from 4 Hands Brewing Company. This Shrimp Boil is an Official St. Louis Craft Beer Week event and 1 of most exciting events we host all year. If you like sea food and sour beers don't miss your chance to try special made shrimp & andouille platters boiled in Passion Fruit Prussia & the rare tapping of Blueberry Passion Fruit Prussia! Scott Pilgram Vs. The World Live Show and Screening

Celebrate the awesomeness of Edgar Wright's SCOTT PILGRIM VS THE WORLD with a live performance and screening in the Bomb Door backyard on August 3! A band (featuring Brian McClelland, Katie Lindhurst, Alex McClelland, Sister Wizzard, Mic Boshans, Joe Taylor, and more) will be playing soundtrack stuff at 9 pm, followed by a screening of the film at 9:30 pm. Nebula Free First Friday

Take a break from home or the coffee shop & drop-in to work with us in the Big Room or our new work space, The Attic. With modern furnishings, a variety of work spaces, lots of natural light, exposed brick, and a clear view of the arch, the Attic is the perfect place to get things done. Opening Reception: Paintings and Crap by Rob Syers

You could know Rob Syers from a million places. You may have seen his character Gumballhead the Cat on SKiN GRAFT Records releases, as a weekly strip in the Chicago Reader, and even on your beer bottle. Maybe you've seen him in his natural habitat, smoking outside a bar somewhere picking a fight with some goon.At this solo exhibition you'll find paintings, prints, comics, nudity, beer, the yellow cat, and also a dog or two. Marquette Community Day

Gravois Park Trash Pickup and Social Hour

Sundays from 9:30-10:30 am, Gravois Park, 3200 Potomac

Each Sunday, get to know your neighbors and help make YOUR neighborhood park a better place to play! We'll pick up litter in and around the park while talking and getting to know each other.

Laughter Club

Tuesdays from 6:00-7:00 pm, Thomas Dunn Learning Center, 3113 Gasconade

Mars Attacks! Viewing Party + VHS Girl Closing

Intro to Screen Printing with Cameron Gray

Saturday, August 12 from 1:00-4:00 pm, South City Art Supply, 1926 Cherokee

You’ll learn the basics of DIY screen printing using drawing fluid, a technique that you can easily accomplish at home without the use of photosensitive materials. Paper and a few other supplies will be provided for the whole class to share, plus each student gets:8” x 10” Speedball pre-stretched silkscreen9” Speedball squeegee8 oz. Speedball drawing fluid8 oz. Speedball screen filler8 oz. Speedball black acrylic ink (for use with paper)Speedball's introductory screen printing kit has a list price of $80, so the $75 class fee, which includes three hours of expert instruction along with the supplies, is a pretty great deal!
