Concordia Publishing House' Fall Warehouse Sale

November 2-6, hours vary by day, Concordia Publishing House Bookstore, 3558 S. Jefferson

The CPH Fall Warehouse Sale is coming! We'll have special extended hours in the bookstore for you to shop the sale. In addition to the savings on books and other resources, you'll find a huge selection of gifts and accessories on sale. Bookstore Warehouse Sale hours:

  • Thursday, November 2: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

  • Friday, November 3: 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.

  • Saturday, November 4: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

  • Sunday, November 5: Closed

Free First Friday

Free coworking for the day! Aerial Show and Tell: First Fridays

Friday, November 3 from 7-8 pm, Bumbershoot Aerial Arts, 2200 Gravois

Aerial Show and Tell is a relaxed and informal one hour free show with a $5 open aerial afterwards for Bumbershoot students. Performers will interactively show excerpts from what they are working on and accept questions and comments from audience on their work. Facebook Invite

Cherokee Street Community Dance Day

Saturday, November 4 from 11 am- 5 pm, 2720 Cherokee

Coinciding with the Cherokee Street Jazz Crawl 2017, Community Dance Day is a day of dance classes in a variety of styles! All classes are FREE and open to the public. This day is designed to be a celebration of community and the dance traditions that bring us together.How does it work? We've booked some of the best-of-the-best artists from around St. Louis to share an intro to their dance style with you. Cherokee Street Jazz Crawl

The Cherokee Street Jazz Crawl is back on Saturday November 4th! Celebrating the culture, people, and places of our beloved Cherokee Street, and the jazz and blues heritage of St. Louis, Missouri. The Garden Party - CANCELLED

Saturday, November 4 from 1-4 pm, BPW Community Garden, Jefferson @ Arsenal

Hosted by Give Love Catering, Events and Entertainment, this event is part of a series of events to showcase community gardens in the City of St. Louis. This is a great way to visit the BPW community garden and consider joining for the 2018 season. Music and food will be available. BYOB and don't forget your lawn chairs. $5 suggested donation with proceeds to fight homelessness.

Gravois Park Trash Pickup and Social Hour

Sundays from 9:30-10:30 am, Gravois Park, 3200 Potomac

Each Sunday, get to know your neighbors and help make YOUR neighborhood park a better place to play! We'll pick up litter in and around the park while talking and getting to know each other.

Monthly Guided Mediation Service

Sunday, November 5 from 9:30 am-12 pm, Cherokee Buddhist Temple, 3830 Cherokee

Beginning Nov 5 we will have monthly mediation services. 9:30 am Introduction to meditation for beginners, 10:00 am Sitting meditation, 10:30 am Chanting, 10:45 am Dharma talk/teaching, 11:00 am Food offerings presented and blessed, 11:30 Vegetarian potluck lunch-feel free to bring a vegetarian dish to share! 12:30 Clean up. BPW's Fall Alley Clean Up

Teatopia Grand Reopening and Story Time for Kids

To celebrate the new space, we're doing a grand reopening on November 11-12. Starting Saturday, November 11, and continuing every other Saturday through the end of the year, we'll be introducing our Story Time at Teatopia for children from 10:30am-11:15am.
