St. Louis Roadies Showcase

Friday, August 9 at 6:30-10 pm, Peter & Paul Community Services, 2612 Wyoming

Join us on August 9th to watch the St. Louis Roadies show off their skills and play against teams from all over St. Louis. Movie Night: Detective Pikachu

Saturday, August 10 at 5-7 pm, Salvation Army - Temple Corps, 2740 Arsenal

Cherokee Street 2nd Saturday

Saturday, August 10 at 6-9 pm, Cherokee

There are gallery exhibitions and live music up and down Cherokee Street with DJ's spinning late night at the B-Side. PLUS:Untitled Fine Art is presenting live music by The Midoesles. Their unique "Brasileiramericanna" sound will accompany an exhibition of engaging visual artists currently on view in the gallery. Complementary refreshments will be provided. Jeremy Rabus Art Exhibit

Saturday, August 10 at 6-9 pm, Cherokee Street Gallery, 2617 Cherokee

Catch a wave at the Marquette Park Pool and join us for a poolside showing of Disney's Moana on Saturday, August 10th! The pool will stay open late, and neighbors and families can watch the movie from their pool floats. Land-lovers should bring along a chair. The movie will start as soon as it gets dark (about 8 pm). Gravois Park Trash Pickup and Social Hour

Sundays from 9:30-10:30 am, Gravois Park, 3200 Potomac

Each Sunday, get to know your neighbors and help make YOUR neighborhood park a better place to play! We'll pick up litter in and around the park while talking and getting to know each other.

2nd Sunday Flow Jam

Sunday, August 11 at 5-8 pm, Fellowship STL, 3453 S. Jefferson

Flow jam is open to all flow props and acroyogis. Open to all! We will be setup at the Humboldt Circle in Tower Grove Park, between the Humboldt South/North pavilions. The spot is shaded, grassy, and near portapotties. Plenty of parking. We will have music. Feel free to bring coolers, lawn chairs, or anything else you might want for the afternoon. Facebook Invite

Opening Reception for the Rita Ford Community Center

Back to School Welcome Day!

Tuesday, August 13 at 7:15-8:30 am, Fanning Middle School, 3417 Grace

Simply show up and meet at Fanning Middle School (Door 6 - the side door closest to the cafeteria) to cheer kids on as they enter through the school doors! We're bringing posters boards, pom poms, a red carpet, and many "yahoos!" and "Yay! you made it to your first day of school!". BPWNA Board Meeting

Please join us to hear the details of all committee activities and have input to board decisions concerning your neighborhood. Often perspective business owners will present their plans to us and seek a letter of support. Cherokee Street CID Meeting

Thursday, August 15 at 5:30 pm, Artist Art, 2643 Cherokee

Cherokee Street Community Improvement District (CID) meetings are held on the 3rd Thursday of each month at 5:30pm at Artist Art. New events, neighborhood and district updates, and all other information regarding Cherokee Street are covered. These meetings are public and open to all. Summer Meet + Greet: Welcome our New Executive Director

Friday, August 16 at 5:30-8 pm, Perennial, 3762 S. Broadway

Join us to welcome Katie Carpenter as Perennial's new Executive Director! Perennial's Board of Directors and Staff welcomed Katie Carpenter as the organization's new Executive Director in July. BPW Litter Clean Up + Social Hour

Saturday, August 17 at 9-10 am, Love Bank Park, Cherokee

Join us for our monthly neighborhood litter pick up and social hour! We will be starting at Love Bank Park (the corner of Cherokee St. and Nebraska Ave.). *Feel free to bring a bucket, gloves and trash picker upper if you like. We have trash bags that have been donated by Operation Brightside.
