Cherokee Street Reach 2015 Community Art Festival

Friday, August 7 at 11:00-4:00 pm, The Luminary, 2701 Cherokee

This free event is open to the public and guests of all ages. There will be workshops and tutorials by local artists and live performances. Cupcake Social

Friday, August 7 from 4:00-7:00 pm, Saint Louis Hop Shop, 2606 Cherokee

Saint Louis Hop Shop is hosting a Cupcake Social this Friday August 7th with Whisk Bakery! Come out and enjoy cupcakes MADE with some brews from one of Colorado's finest breweries, OSKAR BLUES! $3 cans of Oskar Blues Dale's Pale Ale, Pinner, & Mamas Pils during the event! Kickball in the Park

Friday, August 7 at 6:00 pm, Gravois Park, 3200 Potomac

Kids and adults of all ages are encourage to play kickball in Gravois Park each Friday night during the summer. This is a fun way to kick off the week in a fun, family-friendly environment. NOTE: If it's raining, it will be called off.

Back to School Program

Saturday, August 8 from 9:00-2:00 pm, Guardian Angel Social Services, 2700 Cherokee

Help us provide backpacks and school supplies to hundreds of St. Louis students! Last year we served over 600 children. The year before we served 900! Drop off donated school supplies and backpacks this Saturday. For more information, please visit gasastl.org/back-to-school-2015.

St. Louis Swap Meet

Sunday, August 9 from 10:00 am-3:00 pm at the Lemp Brewery, Cherokee @ Lemp

Benton Park Concert Series

Sunday, August 9 from 3:00-6:00 pm, Benton Park, 3100 S. Jefferson

All concerts are FREE and take place in the beautiful Benton Park (Corner of Arsenal & Jefferson). Food, drink and Benton Park gear will be available for purchase. Visit bpnastl.org for details.

Nutrition Classes

Monday, August 10 at 5:00 pm, Curby Memorial Presbyterian Church, 2621 Utah

Benton Park West NA Board Meeting

Monday, August 10 at 6:30 pm, Five Star Senior Center, 2832 Arsenal

BPWNA Board will discuss upcoming events and projects, review the treasurer's report and budget. All are welcome to attend and provide input.

Gravois Park Neighborhood Meeting

Summer Cool Down Luncheon

Wednesday, August 12 from 10:00-2:00 pm, Five Star Senior Center, 2832 Arsenal

Aramark and the St. Louis Police Department donated window fans for home-bound seniors who need them. This fundraising event will have entertainment by Big Papa G starting at 10 am with lunch at 12 noon, and Bingo at 12:30 pm. Attendance prizes and a 32" TV Bingo prize will be awarded. Cherokee Night's Art Walk

Thursday, August 13 from 4:00-10:00 pm, Various locations on Cherokee

Cherokee Nights is back! It's new incarnation will be seasonal quarterly themed events starting with a summer art walk. Explore 27 businesses and artists on Cherokee Street. Businesses will feature the artwork of local artists of various mediums. Facebook Invite

Gravois Community Visioning Meeting Follow-Up

9th Ward Democratic Organization's Beer and Pretzel Party
