Happy Thyme: A Garden Club for Seniors

Fridays from 10:00-12:00 pm, Salvation Army, 2747 Arsenal

The Happy Thyme Garden Club is open to all seniors interested in gardening, whether you're a certified green thumb or looking for a place to learn something new. We'll meet at Temple Gardens, located across from the Salvation Army on Fridays at 10 am. Questions? Call Sara Johnson at 314.606.7794

Gravois Park Trash Pickup and Social Hour

Sunday, May 8 from 9:30-10:30 am, Gravois Park, 3200 Potomac

Each Sunday, get to know your neighbors and help make YOUR neighborhood park a better place to play! We'll pick up litter in and around the park while talking and getting to know each other.

Zumba Classes

Mondays, Curby Memorial Presbyterian Church, 2621 Utah

Curby Church will host Zumba classes on Mondays at 6:00 pm for $5.00 a session. For more info 314-771-0242.

Garden Party Happy Hour

Friday, May 13 from 4:00-9:00 pm, Five Star Senior Center, 2832 Arsenal

Come on over and enjoy the spring air on our back lot! There will be food, drinks, and dancing to keep us busy all evening. Feel free to invite everyone you know! Mystery Spot Books Conversation

Friday, May 13 from 5:00-7:00 pm, The Luminary, 2701 Cherokee

Join us for a happy hour and conversation with current residents, Emily Roehl and Chad Rutter of Mystery Spot Books, who will discuss their research over the past two weeks for their collaborative publication project on the energy landscapes of St. Louis. Here Workshop: Who Eats at Taco Bell?

Wednesday, May 18 from 6:00-8:00 pm, The Luminary, 2701 Cherokee

Here is an improvisational participatory workshop in the style of Augusto Boal’s Image Theatre exploring new ways of being, belonging and building together across difference. Participants will explore their relationship to abstract concepts such as “citizen”, “migrant” and “racial justice” through nonverbal actions and prompts. Facebook Invite

Cherokee Station Business Association Meeting

Thursday, May 19 at 5:30 pm, Nebula, 3400 S. Jefferson

CSBA Meetings are held on the 3rd Thursday of each month at 5:30 pm. All business owners, residents, property owners, and anyone with an interest in Cherokee are welcome and encouraged to attend.

Taco Encampment Grand Opening

Benton Park West Neighborhood Association Meeting

Thursday, May 19 at 7:00 pm, Five Star Senior Center, 2832 Arsenal

Please join us to hear the neighborhood news and have a chance in interact with your neighbors, 3rd District police, aldermen and NSO. We will review upcoming events and activities. Curby Church Family Movie Night

IndiHop 2016

Saturday, May 21 from 1:00-7:00 pm, Various locations on Cherokee

IndiHop is a unique event showcasing two of St. Louis' most eclectic neighborhoods; Benton Park West/Cherokee Street and The Grove. Participating businesses in both neighborhoods will provide 50 unique beers for your sampling quest. As you travel from venue to venue, enjoy entertainment by an assortment of live musicians, artists and street performers.
