Vacancy to Vibrancy - Neighborhood Happy Hour

Lot 49 Contemporary Art Auction + Benefit

Friday, March 24 from 7:00-11:00 pm, The Luminary, 2701 Cherokee

Lot 49 is a unique artist-centric auction initiated and shaped by artists as an annual fundraiser for The Luminary and a direct means of support for artists in the region and beyond. The interactive auction will feature acclaimed artists nominated by their peers, with participating artists receiving 51% of all proceeds and the remaining 49% going to support our ambitious programs - hence the name, Lot 49. Blank Space 5 Year Anniversary Weekend

Spring Up - Indoor Music + Art Festival

78th District Empowerment Rally

Community Spring Festival

Come learn about the wealth of local social service providers, education sessions for youth, employment opportunities, adult education programs as well a reintroduction to The Cherokee Center and it's staff. There will be food, games, raffles and fun! No registration required.

Transcending the Spectrum 4

The Metro Trans Umbrella Group is pleased to present,"Transcending the Spectrum", the 4th annual LGBTQIA art exhibition and fundraiser at Westminster Press, which will run through May 12th. Workers' Education Society's Vegan Potluck

Saturday, March 25 from 7:00-10:00 pm, St. Louis Worker's Education Society, 2929 S. Jefferson

The 2016 WES Vegan Potlucks were a smash hit. Community members broke bread, shared values, got to know one another, and heard from WES and other community leaders about their work. Since so many people wanted more potlucks, we are bringing back the event for 2017. This potluck is in conjunction with our annual retreat, so attendees will have a special chance to dine with lots of WES leaders.This event is free, all ages, LGBTQIA+ and Disabilities welcoming, and DRUG AND ALCOHOL FREE. Gravois Park Trash Pickup and Social Hour

Sundays from 9:30-10:30 am, Gravois Park, 3200 Potomac

Each Sunday, get to know your neighbors and help make YOUR neighborhood park a better place to play! We'll pick up litter in and around the park while talking and getting to know each other.

Zumba Classes

Mondays, Curby Memorial Presbyterian Church, 2621 Utah

Marine Villa Neighborhood Association Meeting

Monday, March 27 at 7:00 pm, Irish Corner Pub, 1900 Cherokee

The MVNA will meet promptly at 7pm at Irish Corner Pub in the back room following the MVNA board meeting at 6pm. An agenda will be uploaded on Nextdoor at least 24 hours prior to the meeting.

9th and 20th Ward General Election Forum

Tuesday, March 28 from 6:00-8:00 pm, Off Broadway Music Venue, 3509 Lemp

Please join us for a discussion of propositions and candidates on the General Election ballot. There are 6 Propositions on the General Election ballot. Speakers will be allotted 5 minutes to present their case for or against each ballot measure, followed by brief Q&A from the audience. Book Launch Party: Colleen McKee's "The Kingdom of Roly-Polys"

Colleen McKee + Francine J. Harris + Andrea Jackson + Paul Thiel will all be reading from "The Kingdom of Roly-Polys" which has been released by the Pedestrian Press.
