Challah Board Working: Jewish Arts & Soul Program

Thursday, January 25 from 6:30-9 pm, Perennial, 3762 S. Broadway

Make your own hardwood challah board sourced from local, fallen trees at Perennial’s upcycling studio. Learn how to saw, plane, and shape your board using a variety of power and hand tools. Add designs with food-safe finishes and learn the proper care of wood boards to make yours last for many Shabbat meals to come! Saturday Morning Kids' Art Class

In this weekly arts program young people ages 7-13 will learn various art techniques from across the world. Arch Rival Roller Derby's 10th Annual Trivia Night

Saturday, January 27 from 6-11 pm, German Cultural Society of St. Louis, 3652 S. Jefferson

Vices and Virtues Mardi Gras Ball

The annual Vices and Virtues Mardi Gras Ball is a masquerade/black tie event. HIV Criminalization Training

Empower Missouri and the MO HIV Justice Coalition are offering a FREE, 2-hour St. Louis regional training regarding some general education on HIV 101, Missouri state laws on HIV and disclosure, and how these laws affect and often criminalize people living with HIV. Predatory Lending & Tax Prep

Tuesday, January 30 from 6:30-8:30 pm, South City Excel Center, 2828 Gravois

This class will discuss the actual cost of payday lending and the effects it has on the consumer, and discuss the predatory lending laws and current events. The class will focus on the different types of predatory lenders and how they actually work. Lastly, it will provide the participants with alternatives to predatory lending and companies. Human Trafficking Awareness and Education Night

Recipes for Love | Gallery Opening

Caitlin Metz has curated and illustrated a collection of narratives, poems, stories and directions for different kinds of love from ten different humans. From polyamorous love, to love of food, self love, loving someone with mental illness and more. It's raw and messy, light hearted and heavy.
