August Members Only Pool Party and Yappy Hour

Tenth Life Cats N' Mats Yoga

Thursday, August 2 at 6-7 pm, Tenth Life, 3202 Cherokee

This is a completely open-level yoga class. You only need a mat and a love of cats to participate! And we have a couple of mats if you don't have one. Curious kitties will be meandering about whilst we get our stretch on. This class is meant to be fun and nourishing to our bodies and souls while helping Tenth Life give cats the lives they deserve! Finding Our Tribe (Fnding Our Tribe)

Thursday, August 2 at 6:30-8:30 pm, DK Annex, 2727 S. Jefferson

This event will feature a panel moderated by Sylvia Watkins with a successful sisterhood tribe that will share their stories and secrets for making the tribe last and a movie trailer screening and talk with the filmmaker, Aziza Binti and co-producer, Brittini Gray of Movement Women-The Making of a Crew. Gravois Park Trash Pickup and Social Hour

Sundays from 9:30-10:30 am, Gravois Park, 3200 Potomac

Each Sunday, get to know your neighbors and help make YOUR neighborhood park a better place to play! We'll pick up litter in and around the park while talking and getting to know each other.

Community Clothing Swap

Sunday, August 5 at 1-3 pm, Perennial, 3762 S. Broadway

Each clothing swap is set-up like a department store (all shirts in one spot, all pants in another, etc.). You bring clothes you no longer want (but are still in fine shape) and take home new-to-you items from the swap. Plus, you can enjoy fresh baked Dogtown Pizza cookies and a cold Schlafly beer while you shop! Door Fee: $10 with clothes to swap, $15 empty handed. Facebook Invite

Summer Drop-In Program

Tuesday, August 7 at 12-3 pm, Salvation Army - Temple, 2740 Arsenal

Cherokee Street Community Market

Wednesday, August 8 at 4:30-8 pm, Love Bank Park, 2853 Cherokee

The City Greens Market Supa-Fresh Veggie Mobile will be full of local fruits, veggies, meat and dairy products.Guardian Angel Settlement Association will distribute free produce, Operation Food Search will distribute free bread.
