Cherokee Street CID Public Meeting

Cherokee Street CID (formerly Cherokee Street Business Association) Public Meetings are held on the 3rd Thursday of each month at 5:30 pm. All business owners, residents, property owners, and anyone with an interest in Cherokee are welcome and encouraged to attend.

BPW Litter Clean Up + Social Hour
Saturday, October 20 at 9-10 am, One-Nite Stand, 2800 Ohio
We will be hosting our monthly neighborhood litter clean up + social hour at the One-Nite Stand this month! This is a great way to meet new/old neighbors and enjoy the beautiful architecture that our neighborhood has to offer. . One Day Intensive Meditation Retreat
Saturday, October 20 at 9-5 pm, Cherokee Buddhuist Temple, 2830 Cherokee
Due to many requests we are holding an intensive one day meditation session. Cultivate your mindfulness prior to the busy holiday season with an all day retreat. The Buddha instructed 4 different modes of meditation: Sitting, Standing, Walking, and Reclining (or lying down). Ajahn Vijit, the abbot of Cherokee Buddhist Temple will be teaching the first 3 of these more intensively. Suggested donation of $20 includes vegan lunch. Space is very limited. Gravois Park Trash Pickup and Social Hour
Sundays from 9:30-10:30 am, Gravois Park, 3200 Potomac
Each Sunday, get to know your neighbors and help make YOUR neighborhood park a better place to play! We'll pick up litter in and around the park while talking and getting to know each other.

Marina Villa Neighborhood Meeting (Potluck and Board Elections)

Join us for this very special end of year meeting. Sarah Jane and Sam have graciously offered to host our event at the Deco Fortress.Potluck dishes are encouraged but not required. Please list in the comments if/what you plan to bring. Our October meeting is our annual board election. Noontime 30 minute Community Yoga every Wednesday!
Wednesdays from 12-12:30 pm, Nebula, 3407 S. Jefferson
Energize yourself with a 30 minute All-Levels Yoga break each Wednesday at NOON!One of our dedicated teachers will guide you through a dynamic, moving meditation paired with specific breathing techniques to help relieve and unravel the stress and tension inherent in our daily modern grind. This is a yoga experience open to beginners and seasoned practitioners alike. A perk for members, and $5 suggested donation for non-members. Soulard Halloween Golf Cart Parade and Trunk or Treat
Friday, October 26 at 5 pm, American Legion Post 422, 2601 S. 11th
Join us for some Halloween fun, decorate your golf carts, fill your trunks with candy for the kids, dust of your costumes and parade through the Soulard Neighborhood. After parade we will all line up and have a great Trunk or Treat for the kids. Staging begins @ 5:00 pm, Parade begins @ 6:15 pm, Trunk or Treat - After parade on Legion parking lot (weather permitting). Gravois Park October Alley Clean Up!
