Peter & Paul Community Services' Race for Home 2018

Saturday, November 10 at 9 am, Tower Grove Park

Race for Home is Peter & Paul Community Services’ annual 5K, 10K and 1 Mile Walk in beautiful Tower Grove Park. Race for Home originated as a humble 30-person run along the riverfront, and has since grown to include close to 600 participants. Runners and walkers are welcome to enjoy complimentary breakfast and beverages, including fresh fruit, coffee, and hot chocolate. Participants then take off for the race, guided by our well-defined trail, and have a chance to win prizes at the end.All proceeds from this event benefit Peter & Paul Community Services’ eight programs and aid in our mission of solving homelessness. Second Saturdays: Gallery Walk

Saturday, November 10 at 6-10 pm, Cherokee

Art walk in the Cherokee Street Arts District second Saturdays of the month from 6-10 PM. Participating businesses exhibiting various medias of art. Rotating galleries on Cherokee Street. Facebook Invite

Gravois Park Trash Pickup and Social Hour

Sundays from 9:30-10:30 am, Gravois Park, 3200 Potomac

Each Sunday, get to know your neighbors and help make YOUR neighborhood park a better place to play! We'll pick up litter in and around the park while talking and getting to know each other.

Gravois Park Neighborhood Meeting

Tuesday, November 13 at 6 pm, 3353 California

Our monthly meetings are a great place to discuss issues important to you and your family, learn about resources and get updates on everything in and around Gravois Park and the 20th Ward but mostly, meet your neighbors.

Noontime 30 minute Community Yoga every Wednesday!

Wednesdays from 12-12:30 pm, Nebula, 3407 S. Jefferson

Energize yourself with a 30 minute All-Levels Yoga break each Wednesday at NOON! One of our dedicated teachers will guide you through a dynamic, moving meditation paired with specific breathing techniques to help relieve and unravel the stress and tension inherent in our daily modern grind. This is a yoga experience open to beginners and seasoned practitioners alike. A perk for members, and $5 suggested donation for non-members. We have plenty of mats + blocks, but feel free to bring your own if you have one.

SLACO's 2nd Annual Town/Gown Mini-Summit: Re-Imagining Community/University Partnerships for Community Development in St. Louis

Wednesday, November 14 at 1-5 pm, Saint Louis University, Il Monastero Conference Center, 3050 Olive

SLACO Presents an afternoon program bridging the gap between the Communities (Town) and the Universities (Gown) within them: Session 1: Keynote Address: Dan Pitera, Detroit Collaborative Design Center; Session 2: What’s Working in St. Louis Community/University Partnerships—a Panel Discussion; Session 3: Thinking Outside the Box: Roundtable discussions on what might be possible in St. Louis community/university partnerships. Cherokee Street CID Public Meeting

Thursday, November 15 at 5:30-6:30 pm at Artist Art, 2643 Cherokee

Cherokee Street CID (formerly Cherokee Street Business Association) Public Meetings are held on the 3rd Thursday of each month at 5:30 pm. All business owners, residents, property owners, and anyone with an interest in Cherokee are welcome and encouraged to attend.

Benton Park West Neighborhood Meeting and Potluck

Thursday, November 15 at 7 pm, Five Star Senior Center, 2832 Arsenal

The November neighborhood meeting will be our annual potluck! We'll supply chicken, beverages, plates and utensils. You bring a salad, side dish, or dessert. We will hold a brief meeting during the dinner. We hope each of you meet neighbors and enjoy good conversation. All residents, business men and women, developers, landlords and other friends are welcome. Reminder, no neighborhood meeting in December. Central Patrol Trivia Night

Friday, November 16 at 7 pm, Casa Loma Ballroom, 3345 Iowa
