NexCore Presents: Free Coworking Week

Monday, January 21-25 from 8 am -5 pm, NexCore, 2631 Gravois

You might have heard about coworking and now is your chance to try it for free, on us at NexCore! Try something new in 2019. We have space for just 30 so register now and enjoy the experience of a collaborative working environment where you get to engage with others just as much as you want, or you can find a quiet nook and work by yourself. Come for an hour or come for a day. We just want you to try the space.

Money in the Bank

Board of Aldermen President Debate

The President of the Board of Alderman plays a critical role in city government. The BOA President is the second most powerful position in the city and helps to determine when and how the city's dollars are spent. Gravois Park Trash Pickup and Social Hour

Sundays from 9:30-10:30 am, Gravois Park, 3200 Potomac

Each Sunday, get to know your neighbors and help make YOUR neighborhood park a better place to play! We'll pick up litter in and around the park while talking and getting to know each other.

St. Francis de Sales Annual Chili Cook-Off

Sunday, January 27 at 10 am-1 pm, St. Francis de Sales, 2653 Ohio

We will host a family friendly Chili Cook-Off in the church hall after the 10:00am Mass. Hot chili, cool prizes and good conversation... what better way to face the chill of winter than to spend time with your friends at the Oratory! As in the years before, Chili with all the toppings, hotdogs, drinks and dessert will be available. Thanks to the generosity of the John and Michelle Holland family, keepsake ceramic chili mugs will be again given with chili orders. Prizes will be awarded to the top 3 winners of the chili cook-off! 23rd Annual SLACO Regional Conference 2019

Saturday, February 2 at 8:15 am-5 pm, St. Louis Community College - Forest Park

The annual SLACO Regional Neighborhood Conference is the St. Louis region's premiere event for helping grassroots neighborhood leaders learn about how other neighborhoods are creating innovative solutions for common problems, how to run an effective neighborhood association, how to think about the causes of neighborhood improvement and decline, and recent plans and initiatives that offer new ways to understand the region and new hope for successful initiatives. Kitty Fest

Community Clothing Swap

Sunday, February 3 at 1-3 pm, Perennial, 3762 S. Broadway

Perennial's Swap is an amazing way to get a new wardrobe with the earth in mind! You bring clothes you no longer want (but are still in fine shape) and take home new-to-you items from the swap. Each clothing swap is set-up like a department store (all shirts in one spot, all pants in another, etc.) All proceeds benefit Perennial's educational programs.
